Keeps moving while the stones begin to sweat.
Eternal shift, upward route
HankcoreHell
One duck. Infinite heat. Still gaining altitude.

Up From Below
Hank hatched beside Furnace Nine, where the ceiling leaks sparks and every exit points down. He learned to ride the hot air between basalt towers, keeping his white feathers clear of the lava and his red face aimed at the least impossible opening. Each lap lifts him several feet. Hell quietly lowers the ceiling overnight.
The Ascent
The route has no map, only temperatures.
- Furnace Nine
Launch before the bells notice.
- Basalt Teeth
Fold left wing; ignore screaming vents.
- Chain Updraft
Catch the draft above the iron hooks.
- Red Ceiling
Peck once where the rock sounds hollow.
- Almost Morning
Repeat when morning turns out painted.
Wrong Turns
Not every updraft is honest. Some deliver Hank to the ferry queue, the chimney shaft, or the same ledge from a more insulting angle. He treats each detour as evidence that gravity is nervous.
Survival Habits
Altitude has made Hank practical, not hopeful.
Detects false doors by their excellent signage.

Carries one scorched breadcrumb for emergencies.
Hell Essentials
The climb depends on six ordinary possessions, all borrowed permanently from lower management.
One Breadcrumb
Too burned to eat, too important to drop.
Loose Feather
Marks the ledge that moved overnight.
Warm Key
Fits no lock Hank has reached.
Shift Bell
Rings whenever he gains altitude.
Black Stone
Used for doors, threats, and balance.
Last Match
Saved for somewhere colder than here.
Keep rising. Let hell adjust.
